Big Leaf Maple - solid unfinished   9/16"

	Each Muscanell Millworks floor starts with high quality lumber that is properly kiln dried. Our method of cutting boards yelds flooring planks that are straight and stress-relieved, allowing for easier installation and less sanding.
Big Leaf Maple is a Western U.S. Species that has been prized for fine furniture. It is quite stable, and medium hardness, (similar to Cherry). The unique thing about this species is its tendency towards interesting grain pattern, incuding some burl, fiddleback, and other figure. Our Big Leaf Maple is selected from older logs which will genereally be rich in color. All the Big Leaf Maple flooring we run comes from mills that are part of the "Healty Forest, Healthy Comunities Partnership," and organization of wood manufacturers, rural leader, and community groups dedicated to forest restoration and community vitality. Wide-width, extra dry, Dry Canyon grade in Big Leaf Maple includes all sizes of sound knots, open holes up to 1" in diameter, some splits, cracks, all variatons of color, along with other character marks. Lenght of planks vary from 3' to 10-12'. This floor will have a rustic look with a lot of grain variation.	$7.85 sq.ft. including shipping

Bay Laurel		Walnut		Wormy Maple
Also known as Myrtlewood is a hard and uniquely colored wood. It is quite stable, and as hard as Red Oak. Color ranges to a deep yellow and often contains some gray staining. This floor will have a rustic look with a lot of grain variation.		Walnut is moderately dense and very stable wood. Compared to Red Oak, it is about 25% more moisture stable and about 20% softer. Our Walnut Stock is steamed, mellowing the usually white sap wood to a light tan color.		Wormy Maple flooring is selected from "super wormy" stock, and is characterized by blue-grey to brown streaking resulting from small worm holes made during the life of the tree. it is quite stable and of medium hardness.
