Design Services

Tamalpais Hardwood Floors is a full service flooring supplier and installer, and we aim to provide our customers with the best selection of hardwood flooring in the Bay Area and Marin. Many of our floors are viewable on the product pages of this website, and we have hundreds of samples and actual flooring installations at our showroom. We also loan out samples, and highly recommend that you look at any floor that you are considering in your home or place of business's natural and artificial light, and to consider the compatibility of the floor with existing or planned cabinets, woodwork, architectural style, and decor.

Given the impact of a flooring selection on the aesthetic of a space and project budget, it is no wonder that we sometimes see customers make many trips to our showroom, often changing their minds multiple times before committing to a particular floor. We are happy to support all of our customers in the potentially overwhelming selection process with prompt pricing and stock information, installation estimates, product information, and samples.

For customers who could benefit from a trained interior designer's eye and expertise in selecting and coordinating interior finishes, we are happy to refer you to Suzanne Glynne, one of our associates and owner of Modern Organic Interiors. Modern Organic Interiors provides design consultations in your home or place of business, and can help you to select a floor that is the right fit for your tastes, the architectural style of your home or place of business, and existing or planned interior finishes and furnishings. Should your project require services beyond a single flooring consultation, Modern Organic Interiors offers complete interior design and project management services, or specifically tailored design services for your needs.

Design consultation fee: $125 for up to one hour*

* Travel time may be additional. Should you choose to purchase 500 sq. ft. or more of regularly priced flooring from Tamalpais Hardwood Floors, a credit of $125 will be applied to your order.
